350 Million Years
in the Making

We do not manufacture our specimens. We unearth them — by hand, from the ancient limestone formations of Pulaski County, Kentucky.

01 — The Land

The Land Beneath

Beneath the rolling hills of Science Hill, Kentucky lies one of the most geologically rich limestone formations in the eastern United States. Laid down during the Ordovician and Silurian periods — over 350 million years ago — these ancient seabeds became the cradle for some of nature's most extraordinary hidden architecture: geodes.

Groundwater rich in dissolved silica seeped through cavities in the limestone over millennia, depositing layer after layer of chalcedony, quartz, calcite, and agate. Each geode formed in darkness, in silence, in geological time so vast it makes human history look like a footnote.

Our property sits directly on these formations. Natural erosion has been exposing geodes from the limestone for centuries — each one a sealed time capsule waiting to be discovered. We hand-collect every specimen ourselves from our private land in Pulaski County.

"We do not order from a warehouse. We collect these by hand from our own land — the same ground that has been producing geodes since before the dinosaurs."

03 — The Vision

Not Just Rocks.
Natural Sculptures.

We started Science Hill Geodes because we believe the earth makes better art than any studio. A cathedral quartz geode on a walnut pedestal commands a room the way no manufactured object can — because it was not designed. It was grown, in darkness, over geological time, by forces older than life itself.

That is why interior designers from Beverly Hills to the Upper East Side are placing specimens like ours in penthouse foyers, spa lobbies, boutique hotel rooms, and curated retail environments. These are not decorations. They are declarations — that your space respects the raw, unmanufactured beauty of the natural world.

04 — Our Promise

Our Promise

What you see is what you get. Every geode on our site is photographed individually. No stock images. No bait-and-switch. The specimen in the listing is the specimen that arrives at your door.

Directly sourced, always. Every piece comes from our private property in Pulaski County, Kentucky. We know exactly where each geode was found because we collected it ourselves.

Packed with care, shipped with pride. We are a small operation and we intend to stay that way — because small means every specimen gets personal attention from the moment it leaves the ground to the moment it reaches your hands.

"The most beautiful things on earth were not designed by humans. They were grown in darkness, in silence, over time we can barely comprehend. We just find them and bring them to you."
